Watch out for the signature refresh request arriving in your post – we are asking 26,407 electors who arranged to vote in elections by post more than four years ago to provide a fresh sample signature.  This is required by law and is to ensure that our sample of their signature is up to date.

At the time of any election, the signatures provided at the time are compared to the ones we hold on file in order to detect any potential electoral fraud.

If you receive a request to provide a fresh signature but are no longer able to write or provide a consistent signature, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so that alternative arrangements to secure your absent vote can be made.
